I'm new to cloth pads and love the 1 "party in my pants" sample I have for a liner. Found Luna Wolf patterns and rave reviews of it, and have decided to buy some fabrics and materials and make my own too.

I've bought some cloth pads and while I like concept, the ones I've purchased are too wide in the crotch. I'm not an especially petite person and I don't wear thongs or anything, but with all of them, the pads are a lot wider than my underwear so they kind of bunch up. So I started using cloth pads not that long ago so I'm still getting together a nice stash. With new purchases and making my own, every load of laundry we do has at least a few pads. I've been washing them in mesh bags and honestly most have not been used, but my boyfriend has been very vocal about my switch. His comments of how gross/icky/etc ( Read more... )

My local co-op is now selling locally made pads (cozy folk and if she sees this, I like the packaging but i wouldn't buy them not knowing the style (aio, insert, backing, ect) and basic shape and that information is only online) so the Gladrags are discounted to $6 for regular, $7 for organic and either 8 or 9 for night pads. My fiance & I were at the fabric store today & I was looking for cotton fabric to use as the top layer I looked at one pattern & it was $16/meter. I said "Oh, that's too rich for my blood" my fiance burst into laughter, & it took me a minute to figure out what he was laughing at (& I spent the next couple minutes laughing about it too)

I am 24 years old and I suffer from Endometriosis. I just decided to switch from disposable menstrual products like tampons and liners. I have a light to heavy flow depending on the time of my cycle.
